Hi. :)
Since I'm relatively new to Bento lunches, I'm going to make a trip to the local Asian store tomorrow to stock up on essential ingredients.
Are there certain things that I should always have in my pantry?
What else should I get?

depends what sort of stuff ya like really
i tend to keep nori, rice wine vinegar, mirin and sushi rice to make my own sushi with (and of course soy sauce :) ) bamboo mats are also helpful for rolling and you can use various salad veg and omelette as filling
have a look at what your local shop sells, ya might find something new and dont be afraid to try weird stuff. youll soon find what works for you and your kitchen
