Does anyone here keep up with BentoTV (http://www.bentotv.com/)? I followed it because even though it was very simple and basic recipes, she had some nice ideas for a beginner bento. She also has one of the largest selections of bento supplies I've seen on ebay (http://stores.ebay.com/Bento-Obento-Shop), and she was very reliable in shipping. So far all of my bento stuff has been bought from her.

She hasn't updated in a while and I even emailed her to see what was up. I was wondering if anyone followed her and knew something. It'd be sad to see her nice video blog die. :/

Re: BentoTV

I emailed her after making my earlier replay - and got an answer so she is still up and around! Sarah says thanks and hopes to have new episodes to put on.

Re: BentoTV

BentoTV has been a VERY big influence on me - and I have bought a few things from Sarah as well.

hmm - maybe I will nudge her - I have an alternate addy for her - if you want to contact her better to go thru Ebay than the addy at the BentoTV website.

Maybe there is a plug-in missing? Flash player or java-script? What browser do you use?

Re: BentoTV

I use Firefox. The site keeps telling me to download the newest ver of Quicktime, gives the link, I download, and all it does is create conflicts with my other plugins. So I gave up.

Re: BentoTV

I use both explorer and firefox, and both browsers do not display the videos. Just so you know its nor a firefox problem. Perhaps you can find her videos on YouTube? This way you will not have to download anything.

Cookn’ it up at easy recipes!

Re: BentoTV

Oh, no no no! Sarah's videos annoy me more than I would ever have thought possible, but that's just my personal opinion. A fact that you should be aware of is that *most* of her stuff is dollar store junk sold at a huge mark-up. I don't think she set out to rip people off and I'm sure that ebay and paypal fees are part of the reason for the prices, but before you buy you should check your local Dollar Tree and the dollar bins at Target. Also try to find out if there are any Asian dollar or grocery stores in your area. What she doesn't get at Dollar Tree seems, for the most part, to come from Daiso or Ichiban Kan, which unfortunately only have locations on the West Coast, so the rest of us have to rely on West Coasters selling the stuff online. If you see something you like and can't get it locally, order if you wish if you think the price is fair. It just drives me nuts when I see people selling boxes that I know cost $1.50 originally for $10 plus shipping- and sometimes even the shipping rates are inflated. :/
