I'm Miso.Desi, and I'm new here. ^^
I've always really loved Japanese food, for some reason I've always felt most at home around Japanese food and culture, so I've spent a great deal of my life eating Japanese food and such. ^^ Though I'm not any large portion Japanese, I'm such a mutt ancestrally I'm not even really sure how to identify myself, so I go with "Mutt" hehe. My fiance is from India, and I'm slowly turning Indian as I learn the language and the culture to try to fit in with the family in India. Hence my name! Miso.Desi hehe. ^^
I cannot eat wheat, he cannot eat dairy, its hard for us to find food for us to eat as a result. I've also had some health problems for a couple years, giving me really bad nausea and stomach pain, and as a result I've lost a lot of weight. I find that Japanese food, in addition to being delicious, is also really good for me, so we are learning to make more Japanese food for both him and me. Now we make Onigiri almost every day. ^^
We're planning on experimenting with some Indian/Japanese fusion Bentos once we get more comfortable cooking Japanese food. ^^ I have been cooking European food since I was a little girl, but cooking Japanese and Indian food is new to me.
