Not quite sure this is the right section for this (and it's my own forum! dang!) but anyway - I just saw an eBay listing that may interest people who are looking to stock up on bento boxes. It's a lot of 12 (12!) bento boxes, including many favorites like Lube Sheep, Totoro, etc. I guess they must be used...but hey...12 boxes! And the current bid is only 99 cents! She only ships to the U.S. she says...but it doesn't hurt to ask if she will ship elsewhere I guess? Good luck if you decide to bid on it!

Uh..the bidding is now up to $122. So...yeah. (personally I don't think I'd pay that much...she has a mix of cheaper (e.g. Lube Sheep) and more expensive stuff, you could probably mix up your own and get a similar price for brand new.)
Zojirushi lunch jar available on ebay.com.au:

It's hard to buy Zojirushi jars in Australia. There's a "Classic" jar available now (brand new in box, Japanese model).
Super try, though, Maki! She certainly started the bids at an appealing level!
I've been sorting through a number of items lately, and girding my loins so to speak to pay another {choke} significant chunk of the household budget for some sugi and urushi boxes.... the ones I've been viewing are too beautiful to leave out there in some warehouse! they must be liberated to the kind and caring environs of Our House. Besides, who knows how long such things may continue to be available, so "if not now, when?" :-)
so, perhaps this forum's not a bad spot to remind us where you might recommend we review items like this... ? thanks and best wishes, and are you to be liberated any time soon? [there, a bunch of off topic, to loosen the conversation. ~;-> ]
Product reviews are a great idea! I'll make a section for this asap.
I've been let out of the hospital now, thanks for asking! ^_^ More or less leading a normal life now, though I still have a huge gash in my back >.<
Yes, and you worried us all rather terribly with that little escapade of yours! Next time you want a holiday, have The Guy drive you out to the country for a nice stroll! ;-D
Very sincerely hoping you'll heal speedily now, but be gentle with yourself and no rushing around, OK?
Product review section -- thanks! Also, was wondering if the online/offline shop recommendations are up to date? AND [truly off-topic] any chance of a source for some of the glorious shin-mai your Mom finds in Japan? Sigh, we'd probably have to write to the farmer eh, then find out he can't export or some nonsense like that. ?
Everyone, please start asking loads of fussy questions like this, to keep Maki resting quietly at her keyboard. ;->
