From one of the other forums I saw the ideas of this person -- she is decorating bento boxes for a class project.

and here is her blog: http://paiselypirate.livejournal.com/
She is planning on selling her extras after her class meets and may do some to sell on Etsy.

Wow thanks Eili! I appreciate the free advertising = )
LOL - you say that now -- if you get flooded with folks interested you could be cursing my name!
But really - the ideas turned out soo beautiful and so many of us are looking for something new for our ever growing obsession!

I would never curse good business. The more boxes I sell the more I'll be able to design and make in the future!
I'm actually holding off on buying more supplies for decals/boxes until I break even on what I've spent already. I was 87 dollars in the hole until today, now I'm only 37 in the hole. I need to sell 3 more boxes (all the ones I have left) until I break even xD Hopefully the cat ones will sell as fast as the font ones did.
Ever thought of a dragon-design? I haven't seen a box with a dragon sofar, and I like to have one
OH WOW those are cool! I like the font one & the kitty, did you decide to go etsy?

She is not yet set up for Etsy - this is literally just moving from a class project/assignment to something to sell.
I guess as one of the first getting one of her boxes I am getting a prototype for her process and designs.
I thought they were just too brilliant and fresh to not share the information!

I have been considering a tribal dragon design, or perhaps an asian styled one. Right now I need to spend more time on my classes though and sell what boxes I have left, lol. After that though I'd like to make some new designs, perhaps this weekend.
Thank you! = )
I did go and register the HappyYeti name on Etsy, but there's nothing set up on it yet. Maybe in a few days. I need to figure out how it's going to work with paypal and stuff like that. Right now I'm getting charged more than a dollar per paypal transaction because I have a merchant account for some reason (I don't even know why) and if I start selling things through Etsy that's another percentage taken off plus the cost of listing it.
Mh.. I never heard of Etsy before what is it?
http://www.etsy.com/
It's an on-line marketplace for things people make.

Nice. And I see why I haven't heard of it before. It's relativly unknown in Europe. Or maby I should better say there is nobody selling things on etsy in Europe (as the people in GB, as I heard, do not call themselfs europeans)
You would be surprised. Go to http://www.etsy.com/shop_local.php and put "germany" in the search box. There are ten pages of people in Germany with recently updated shops. It's not terribly well known here either, but there are people using it.
Funny, when using the "globe" to search you only will find a few shops in the UK.......
Those boxes are awesome!
