Grr. I've just been trying to prune a restaurant recommendation from the "hall of shame" topic to the "hall of fame" topic (although the recommendation did NOT make me want to visit the restaurant in question). I did "prune", then I navigated to "fame", then I hit "graft", then the button for "confirm" appeared right on top of some links to topics and when I clicked it it took me back to the "shame" topic (which was the link it was sitting on top of) and I still have "graft" and not "prune" on everything! Help.

There have been a few odd off-topic forum comments, saying things like 'Want to network?' and 'Thanks for your efforts'. They don't have any connection to the post they are responding to, and they come from odd sounding gmail addresses. They don't have any spam links in them so far, but still, weird. Anyway if you see them pls just keep them unpublished, unless they look legit.

The ones that say "Nice site admin". I've just unpublished one - I think it's the second time I've unpublished it, but who knows. They are unpublished to start with, most of them, anyway. Has something gone wrong again Maki? And the server is playing games?

I seem to have lost the ability to delete posts. I can delete or x answers, but HaleiwaGirl has introduced herself twice somehow and I don't seem to be able to get rid of the duplicate. All I can do is "prune", which is a bit pointless in this case.

The function that allows for abuse reporting (the X) was the culprit behind the mass un-publishing and re-publishing (and sending out of notification emails...) of comments and forum topics. It did it again...it unpublished more than 4600 approved comments from unregistered or un-logged in users. So I've had to reset it, and now it should be ok. If you do see anything odd, or comments approved that shouldn't have been, please let me know. Thanks! :)

Bronwyn, great catch on the iloverugby and rogersomething users. They were using the same IP...duh. I've changed it so moderators can see the IP addresses of people now, so you can catch people using sockpuppets like this. I do have a few silent sockpuppets I use sometimes for testing, but I never post with them except in hidden places for testing purposes so that should be ok. (Though Guruman is not a sockpuppet, just a living-in-same-place-as-me puppet!)

A stinky SEO spammer, so have banned his ass. Good call on catching him!

I haven't seen Courtney around for a while, so I'll be sending one of the new members who introduced themselves in March a small gift from my stash. Also, I've announced April as Frugal Bento (or Frugal Food, in the case of Just Hungry) Month, so I thought a new forum for Monthly Events might be in order. So...there it is. I am still in the process of possibly putting together a giveaway in conjunction with the April theme.
